Look before quoting
Every quote follows somebody seeing the property, in person for houses and on a video walk-round for smaller jobs. A price given blind is a price that changes, and it always changes on the morning when you have no choice.
About us
Greenwich Removals covers SE10 and the Royal Borough, with a European arm running road moves out to four countries. Small, careful, and straight with people.
Most of what we do happens within a couple of miles of Greenwich Park. Period terraces in the old town, conversion flats off Royal Hill, family houses in Westcombe Park and Charlton, apartments on the Peninsula. Some of it goes a great deal further, because a steady number of people leave south-east London for France, Spain, Italy or Portugal and want the same crew at both ends of that.
There is no origin story here worth telling. The job is old and well understood: turn up when you said, protect the route, wrap things properly, carry them carefully, put them where they go, and charge what you quoted. Almost every complaint anybody has about a removal firm is one of those six failing.
Because local knowledge is worth real money here and nowhere else can supply it. Knowing which streets off Crooms Hill a Luton cannot enter. Knowing that a Peninsula block wants insurance documents a fortnight out. Knowing that the visitor traffic towards the Cutty Sark builds by mid-morning, and that a Maze Hill job in the wet is a different proposition from the same job in June. None of that comes from a postcode lookup.
We are careful about where our patch ends. Woolwich has removal firms based in SE18 who know it far better than we do. Blackheath sits across two boroughs and we take the Greenwich side. If your move belongs with somebody else, we will say so.

If something genuinely changes the job — a cellar nobody mentioned, a suspension refused, a lift out of service — we tell you what it means before we act on it rather than putting it on an invoice afterwards.
In a borough of Georgian terraces and listed frontages, the plaster and the staircase are part of what you are trusting us with. Runners and padding go down before anything is carried, every time, including when it is raining and everybody wants to get on.
A move that sits squarely in a neighbouring town. A car that needs a transporter. A piano down four flights of Georgian stairs that genuinely will not take it. We would rather lose the job and tell you who can do it.
We carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover. The limits, the exclusions and the process for reporting a problem are set out in the booking terms, and we would rather you read them before you commit than after something has happened. Anything unusually valuable should be declared at survey so it is properly accounted for.
We do not list trade memberships, certifications or awards we have not earned, and you will not find star ratings on this site until there are real reviews from real customers with somewhere you can go and verify them. That is a deliberate choice, and it is the same reason there are no invented statistics anywhere on these pages.
The services page sets out everything we do. Areas we cover is the honest coverage map, street by street. Storage explains what we actually offer and when a self-storage unit would suit you better. And if you are leaving the country, the European removals hub covers the road route out.
Plenty do. Ring or send a note through the contact page and we will answer questions without steering you towards a booking.
